I took this one when we were going down the summit (Mt. Pulag Summit) and we passed by tons of groups going up, and there were already about a hundred when we left.  That's how much people went hiking on Labor Day..  I had no idea it could get that crowded in the mountain.  I was actually expecting only a few people to share this wonderful experience with, but it was alright.

I was so nervous climbing up the 2nd highest peak in the Philippines; the coldest part in the country which temperature they said could go down to 10 degrees Celsius or less.. in the summer.  I was worried when we're still planning it.. I got excited, got more nervous, and got a bit more worried after hearing the seminar before going to the Ranger Station.  Maybe if you do have like 90% caffeine in your body, you get freaked out so easy.. praning ba?

You know what they say about going thru the most difficult paths will always lead to something really wonderful in the end?  That's not exactly how it goes, I mean, the exact words, but you get the idea.. right?  Because it's true, you might experience the worst but you'd end up saying it's worth the pain.. whatever that is.

Yep, that is the entrance fee up to the mountain in Calaguas Island.  I don't know though if that sign is you know, real.. because that is too cheap for an entrance fee and no one was around to guide us or something.  We love to trek, even under the heat of the sun, and to explore the whole island could have doubled the fun and excitement we were having that time.

This has been one of the longest walk I've had, although it's not difficult, it's the long stairs that made me almost pass out.. that's when you reach the end of the trail.  I guess it's always like that; long stairs after a long walk.. is it to test your strength?  Can't we just settle for a long walk?

I was crawling up to the last steps in Mount Pinatubo's crater, not knowing that I'm facing another moooooooore steps down to the crater lake.  But of course we were rewarded with a glorious view and a very fine weather.

The sun was up, shining bright, but we never felt the heat because the cool breeze absorbs it in an instant.  We admired it for a long and almost nonstop photo shoots before we settle down for lunch.

Okay, I'll tell you about the long walk., a long walk to remember? (lol)
