The Taoist Temple in Beverly Hills Subdivision in Cebu City was the first temple I ever visited. I think I was too amazed that I kinda forgot the rules; to be quiet, and not to take pictures of their gods.. of their altar(?).. well I was quiet, quietly taking pictures of everything until I climbed up the stairs and I saw some people were praying. I was about to take a shot when my friend stopped me and reminded me of the rules.. a few seconds later, the guard came.
That was close. I was close to shooting the inside of the temple, and I was close to losing my camera.. I don't know what I'll do if ever that happened.. if the guard did confiscate my camera. He's pretty strict. I saw it in his face. I actually thought of taking a picture of him, but he's fast. But honestly, I thought it's ok to take a picture of their altar from the outside, as long as you don't bother them.. I was actually quite far.. but rules are rules.
But they do allow people to get around the temple and stay there for a while.. it's actually a pretty nice place; so quiet, so peaceful, and so boring. just kidding.
I love the silhouette of that temple against the sky - great capture #bwphotoproject

It's nice to witness a kind of culture and religion that is quite different from ours.. mostly I just see them on tv, and it was indeed an amazing place.
